JANUARY MEETING

Blackfoot Piecemaker meeting was held at the Lutheran Church in Blackfoot ID
on January 26, 2017
Candy High conducted the meeting

News/Announcements: Members, if you are not getting your emails, look in your junk file or contact Janey Cook.

Our Charity Day was held on January 12.  Connie Tabor made up kits to finish the charity quilts.  When these are done, we will have approximately 23 quilts to donate to charities.  Connie also had 2 quilts that were quilted ready to bind. Members readily agreed to help.

On Feb 23, we will have our annual Chinese Auction.  Bring your items to the Lutheran Church by
12:00 pm.  Tickets can be purchased at meeting.  We will also start our Crayon challenge at this meeting.

Two of the quilts made on Charity quilt day in January.

Connie Tabor has been asked to chair the Raffle Quilt for 2017.  She chose a fun block for us and handed out packets containing background fabric and pattern.  We are to make a practice block (which we can donate to the club for later use) and then once we feel comfortable with the block, we can make it using the background fabric.  She asked us to use "muddy colors" such as civil war, Kansas Troubles, Kim Diehl, or Thimbleberry's fabric.  If you have questions contact the club officers or Connie.

Connie Tabor painfully made this baby quilt for her great grandson.
She is not a Patriots fan....!!!!
She purchased the Patriots fabric from B&R (here in Blackfoot) but they only had pieces left over from a project they were working on,
so she carefully pieced the blocks and you can't see where her seams are!
