Trudy telling about making scrappy blocks

Trudy cuts her scraps into 10", 5" and 2 1/2" strips, to make her scrappy quilts.

Trudy

Linda made this scrappy quilt using 7.5", 5.5" and 3 1/2" blocks.  She layered them on top of each other and zig-zagged around edges. (a type of applique) Then cut out the excess from the back. After layering multiple times, she cut the block into fourths and sewed them together again.... too cute.
