March 26th Quilt Boutique at 1pm
This is for you to sell anything you want. Let us know if you are needing a table. Set up is at noon.
EDUCATION
Connie Tabor talked about needles and thread. You need to change your needle every 60-70 hours of use. Or change when you start a new project. When you change your needle, clean your machine. Be sure and match your needle to your fabric. Schmetz needles are good ones. Don't use Coats & Clark thread it is not good for quilting, it has a resin on it and can mess up your needle. Use good quality thread, 50 weight is best. If your thread is old you can use, Sewer's Aid.
STASH FOR CASH
Coming May 28th. Michelle Katseanes explained that the Free table will now be used for Stash for Cash items. There will be bags to put your tickets in and then there will be a live auction on some of the bigger things. They have gotten some donations. For the things you donate you get a ticket. If you are donating something, you need to bring it to Michelle before May. If you need her to pick it up, she can do that also.

Blackfoot Piecemakers Club Meeting
January 22, 2026 at the new location
Blackfoot Christian Fellowship Church on Rose Road
Serena introduced the different learning and activities we will be able to enjoy!!
Educational Chair - Linda Dance
Madge Lindsay did the Education for January. She told us that we should not put our quilt in the bathtub to wash them. This can put added stress on the stitching by wringing it out. We can put our quilt in the washing machine with warm water, small amount of mild detergent and gentle cycle. There was a question about if the quilt colors bleed. You can put a color catcher in the washer. If you do have some bleeding, you can put on synthropol on the area that has the miss color and let it sit and then wash again. Dry your quilt in the dryer, or you can line dry, drape over several lines. This step can be repeated. She also suggests for the quilts you are storing, wash them every five years, to keep it from yellowing. You shouldn't wash you quilt more than two times a year. A quilt should last 50 years.
QUILT BOUTIQUE
At the March meeting we will be able to have a quilt boutique. You can let Serena know if you want a table or 1/2 a table. You will be able to sell anything you want, it doesn't have to be quilt related. You will be responsible for your money/change.
