The charity raffle quilt top is done and will be quilted by Terilee Jacobson. It will be ready to be shown at the June meeting and there will be packets with a photo and tickets for each member to sell. Joyce Brower will be in charge of this.
June 4th at 10:00 am there will be a board meeting that will cover the rest of the summer activities and fall planning.
Our summer picnic will be our meeting for July. It will be at Jensen Grove at the pavillion and not the shelter. More information will be available at our June meeting.
Lori Jarmin asked the question "Why do we quilt"? She does it for her family and friends and Julia Wareing said it is her creative outlet and also nurturing her family. I think we can all agree that we love the socialization and the creativity that we get from being a club member.

Nancy Furniss gave a BOOK REPORT and showed her example of one of the projects in the book by Janet Houts, and Jean Ann Wright. She highly recommended this book titled "Circle of Nine".
Lori suggested that we make a list of our favorite websites for shopping, quilt ideas, blogs and bring them to our next meeting so we can have the list for the members. She follows the following blog:

It was suggested by Diantha Hatch that we have a list of local quilters and places to take our machines for servicing. A paper was handed out to write these down and copies will be given out at our next club meeting.
Alice Baumgartner gave a demo on ROTARY MAT CARE: She handed out the following information:
Keep Clean!
Use soft brush, a plastic scrubby or art gum eraser.
Keep Moist!
Wipe with wet cloth and dry before storing.
Soak 15 to 20 minutes flat in cool water with
1/4 cup white vinegar to one gallon water.
Keep Flat!
Do not store on end. Lay flat to store, under bed, on table or hang from hanger.
Definitely NO HEAT!
Do not put hot things on top of mat. Don't iron on mat, Don't leave in the car because heat warps your mat.
You should clean and hydrate your mat at least 2 times per year.
