January 24th Meeting
We introduced the various programs that we offer and participate in each year. Which are Elizabeth Basket, Friendship Blocks, the EISF raffle quilt, Charity Day, quilting classes, the library, and the blog.
Blackfoot Quilt Fest
Don't forget about the Blackfoot Quilt Fest on April 5th & 6th. There will be a quilt show, classes & vendors. Entering into the quilt show is free... at least that is what I understood. Registration forms are due on February 15th. So don't forget to look at the classes and get your registration in. All are welcome to come browse through the quilts on display and come to the vendor mall without having to pay a registration fee.

Meet the New President!!
Alice Baumgartner
Alice was Born in Montana on November 8th. Growing up Alice's mom made all of her clothes. She loved being able to pick out what she wanted her to make. She has 4 sisters, her older sisters are twins. Her grandma did a lot of quilting, she had 52 grandchildren and she made each of them 2 quilts.
Alice met her husband in junior high but they started dating in high school. They lived in Idaho Falls for 10 years and they have lived in Blackfoot for 32 years.
Alice has 2 beautiful daughters... her daughters are a miracle in her life! Both of her daughters have cystic fibrosis and were not supposed to live passed the age of 8... but they are now 40 & 38. Her daughters have taught her to live. She has 1 granddaughter and 1 grandson.
Alice used to work at ISU. While teaching at ISU Alice learned how to do metal work and she also learned how to dye fabric. She is a very talented woman and we are so excited for her to be our new president!
