APRIL 23, 2026 meeting
We had a wonderful Charity Sew day and there was lots of project finished and many taken home to finish. Thank you for helping.
EDUCATION MINUTE
by Terilee Jacobson
Terilee talked about how much it costs for a quilt to be quilted from edge to edge, versus, custom. Prepare the front and back really well. Press, Press, Press! Please square your quilt. It is helpful to stay stitch around your quilt, so the seams stay together. Cut the back so that it is four (4") inches larger on all sides. The quilt shifts. If you have a question, ask your long arm quilter. If your back is directional, please mark and notify the quilter. And don't expect all the problems to be quilted out. Really, it is impossible. Let your quilter know what thread color you prefer. Use the quilter's batting, they buy it in a roll and it is easier to use. It is usually 80/20, but if you want bamboo, please request.
CHARITY
They announced they had three that needed to be quilted, they had several ladies volunteer to quilt them.
Linda Dance, Becky Nestler, Louanna Bunn, Serena Yancey, Lori Jarmin and Annie Gardner. If you want them to quilt it, make sure you have the backing for the quilt.
There is a table in the back of the room, if you take something or bring something back, please put it on the sheet.
