AUGUST 2020 Club meeting

 Blackfoot Piecemaker Quilt Club

President Gloria Udy conducted the meeting


Due to the current pandemic, our annual raffle quilt will be raffled at our next meeting ( Sept 24, 2020)

Members are selling tickets for $1 each or 6 for $5









Nancy Furniss -Blind Date with a Book
The book is "Nickel Quilts by Pat Speth
It features quilts made with 5" squares of fabric.
She made a small sample of one of the quilts to show the members.






Gloria Udy showed projects 
she and her grandkids made.








Show and Tell

Nancy Furniss showed a bag made from 21/2" strips

Madge Lindsay - market bag and quilt






Kathryn Evans - 10 quilts, some donated to Elizabeth Basket project




Kathryn got this unfinished bag project from the Chinese Auction - she asked who donated it.  Nancy Furniss did....Kathryn then gave it (all finished) back to Nancy.  









Joyce Brower showed a picture of a quilt that has been sent to it's new home.
And a tea towel she appliqued.





Lori Jarmin got a pile of blocks from the Chinese Auction (donated by Linda Michaelson). She made 2 twin quilts from the blocks to donate to charity.  She showed 4 quilts total.











Linda Borba showed 3 quilts and a bag.  She also showed some of her beautiful wood carvings.  
Her and her husband have carved carousel pieces for the ALBANY HISTORIC CAROUSEL & MUSEUM in Albany, OR.  There is a sample of one of her pieces at the end.  











Other animals they carved were the Elephant, Green Dragon, Zebra, and Quail with the basket seat.
