Our annual July picnic was held at the Rose Church north of Blackfoot. President Candy High announced one birthday for August, Dee Juana Dalley.
Other announcements were: a reminder that the Eastern Idaho State Fair entries will be due on August 26th and 27th. Anyone wanting the entry form could go to www.funatthefair.com or go to the fair office for a book.
Board meeting for August will be the 11th.
The August meeting will include a demonstration on a special block and the September meeting will be about antique quilts and members are encouraged to bring those in to show.
Candy talked about her visit to The Trackside Quilting Shop in Laurel, Montana. She got a pattern for a row quilt. If your interested in learning more about where the quilt shops are you can visit the website:

Joyce Brower reminded everyone to sign up to sell tickets at
the fair and to get a raffle ticket packet for those that
didn't get one last month.
Karen Price talked about the batik fabric exchange
that will start next month and to encourage everyone to help with the
Quilt Heritage Museum raffle at the EISF.
Leora Melton announced that former member Muriel Roberts wants to sell
her fabrics and tools and will be having a sale in August. Leora will e-mail further details to the members.
After the announcements, members enjoyed the potluck.
