Leslie Stevens - getting ready to show us how to use
Microsoft Word to design quilts
Leslie walks us through the steps to design quilts using her
computer to show designs made with squares, rectangles,
several triangles, hexagons and the tumbler shape.
She talked about shortcuts such as
Control C for Copy and Control V for Paste.
She showed many other uses from her toolbar and
encouraged everyone to try!
Some designs she worked on to show what to click on
using her mouse and the keyboard:
Setting blocks on point
After showing us how to design, Leslie gave us a website that has a tutorial. Jo'sCountryJunction.com.
Leslie invited everyone to call her at home for any help
we might need. 684-3442
Candy showed us how she uses plexiglass to doodle on to discover
different ways to quilt her blocks. She purchased 1/8 " plexiglass and
then covered edges with painters tape to keep them from scratching surfaces.
Another useful tool that Candy has discovered is
using chopping mats when applying glue for applique.
It protects the surfaces that you are glueing on.
